Soon after 8 p.m., police showed up at a residence on Barnes Street to look into a possible shooting. Officers found Elizabeth and Nicholas in bad condition. Both were found dead at a neighboring hospital despite having emergency medical attention.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office found that the investigation of the case was a murder. There, a suspect was found and calmly taken into custody. Arlington Cole, 54, the suspect authorities said was maybe dating Elizabeth Almeida, was identified. Prosecutors have said that if the probe continues, criminal charges are likely when a gun was discovered.
