Obituary for Ali Jasim Quad - Rock Island, IL firefighter
Ali proudly aided his community in several significant ways during his lifetime. Apart from his firefighting, he once worked as an emergency room technician in a hospital setting and was a corrections officer with the Scott County Sheriff's Office. Ali was well-known for advancing at times of need in all of his positions to offer calm, compassion, and professionalism to individuals going through some of the most trying circumstances of their lives.
Those who worked with Ali allege he never sought recognition for his efforts. Instead, he focused on finishing the project right and helping those around him. Whether Ali was caring for patients in the ER, responding to emergencies, or maintaining safety inside the corrections system, he approached every assignment with humility and a genuine desire to help.
Apart from video editing, Ali was also a much valued buddy of QC Fire Wire backstage, giving his time, skills, and inspiration as needed. The business said described him not just as a coworker but also as a friend and brother whose generosity and loyalty permanently changed circumstances. The person who shaped his life reflected in his will to help quietly, without expectation.
Apart from his job titles, Ali was remembered as a kind-hearted and honest guy who really cared about people. Friends describe him as very grounded, considerate, and easygoing; one who supported others without exception and listened more than he spoke.
As the Quad Cities grieves this loss, firefighters, law enforcement, medical professionals, and local inhabitants whose lives were touched by Ali's deeds and friendship have sent condolences. Though his death leaves a big void, his legacy of service lives on in the example he set and the numerous lives he impacted.
