On Saturday morning, a terrible accident on northbound Interstate 95 took the life of Siena Marie Brachelli, a 19-year-old college student from Chesterfield, New Jersey.
Siena Brachelli perished in a Philadelphia rollover collision.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, Brachelli was driving her white Acura MDX around 11:36 a.m. near Exit 32, north of Academy Road, when she lost control of the vehicle. According to authorities, the SUV swerved from the left lane onto the shoulder, hit a guardrail, then flipped over the median. Philadelphia Fire Department and EMS emergency responders declared her dead at the scene.
Authorities verified that the collision included no other cars. The reason of the loss of control is still unknown; therefore, police have called to the public for witnesses who might have seen the accident or have knowledge to aid the inquiry.
A political science major at Philadelphia's Saint Joseph's University, Brachelli was an enthusiastic Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority Delta Psi chapter member. Her position as a service supervisor at Ordinarie Heros also reflected her dedication to community service.
Brachelli, a 2024 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, is remembered as a bright and hardworking student with a bright future. Her parents and brothers survive her; they and the university community are grieving the unanticipated death.
Officials keep asking anybody with information to come forward as the probe into the accident proceeds.
