Officials are investigating a fatal car accident involving two vehicles that occurred on Saturday afternoon along West Ridge Road at Elmgrove Road.

Police claim the accident happened around 1 p.m. when a westbound car collided with another westbound car parked at a red light.The driver, who was the only one in the gorgeous car, was reportedly dead when they got to the scene.He was later found to be Craig Cavallaro, a well-liked father and husband.
Police say Strong Memorial Hospital treated the driver and passenger of the car that stopped at the light for major injuries.According to North Greece Professional Firefighters Local 3827, a dog also died in the accident.
Riesen Kimmerly, one of the survivors, is still in poor condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.Kimmerly and her husband Tyler were rear-ended by a truck going fast.Both had sustained serious head injuries as well as numerous broken bones.Monty, their three-month-old puppy, died in the crash.

Medical records reveal Kimberly is under sedation and breathing via a ventilator as doctors address a collapsed lung, a brain hemorrhage, arterial tears in her neck, and several serious fractures including her hip, shoulder, and skull.Doctors are trying to stabilize her condition, therefore she has had surgery and is undergoing a lot of tests and treatment.
As the inquiry goes on, tributes have poured in for Craig Cavallaro, whose life centered on his family and whom loved ones remember as a driven, hardworking man.Friends insist every action he took was for Kell, his wife, and their two little boys.Characterized as a devoted husband, a great father, and someone who always put family first.
