Born on November 13, 1977, Josh was raised in Redkey, Indiana with his loving parents, Roger Clay and Patricia (Kunkle) Clay.He displayed will, warmth, and a great love of those around him early on—qualities that defined both his personal and professional life.Graduating from Jay County High School in 1996 and afterwards earning his bachelor's degree from Hanover College in 2000, he laid the ground for a life built on compassion, leadership, and devotion.
Josh above all else loved his family. His life rotated around two daughters, Rowan and Berkeley, whom he reared with his wife, Lisa (Barrett) Clay, who had a loving marriage.Josh found great satisfaction in being an involved father helping his daughters on all projects. He coached them in basketball, soccer, and softball, always seizing an opportunity to encourage, teach, and acknowledge their achievements.
Family trips were the height of Josh's happiness. He and Lisa created their lake house, which came to be the center of many treasured memories and summer visits.Celebrating his love of adventure and the outdoors, Josh proudly taught his children to ski from three years old on yearly mountain excursions. The family would visit New York City around Thanksgiving, where they would enjoy the Macy's Day Parade, local cuisine, and the trip of seeing different environments.Josh found every opportunity to expand his daughters' horizons and strongly felt that he should expose them to the outside world.
Josh was a man of great compassion and devotion to everyone knew him.Willingly and truthfully he met every challenge in life.Though highly esteemed among his neighbors and professionally, he filled many positions; yet, he believed Husband and Daddy were most important to him.He was also a devoted son, brother, coach, friend, and coworker—titles that reflected the great impact he had on others. Those fortunate enough to know him will always remember his kindness, loyalty, and relentless backing.

Josh's wants dictate that there won't be a conventional burial.Rather than that, a life celebration and cookout will be planned at the family's lake home this next summer with extra notifications to follow. For a man who valued togetherness, humor, and group experiences, this would be a great gathering.
Though Josh Clay's actual presence is gone, his legacy lives on via the family he loved, the life he inspired, and the love he gave so freely.People who knew him will always get guidance from his legacy.
